Owner and founder of Kalon Photography. I founded Kalon Photography in August 2020. The name 'Kalon' means, "Beauty that is more than skin deep." This word really resonated with me, because I have always struggled with my self-confidence and what it means to be beautiful. Mainly because society has created this warped image of what true beauty is. At Kalon Photography we know 'beauty" is more than just outward appearance, it's what radiates from within that plays a vital role and we love to capture just that.

More about the face behind the camera!
I am 34 years of age, a local Pietermaritzburg girl, married with four fur-kiddos. I own a gel polish company and my own small nail studio. I do nails part-time as a hobby for friends and family. I love being creative and everything that comes with it. Fun fact about me, if I had to choose between a salad or a whole pizza, I will without a doubt choose the pizza. I love food, wine, new & authentic restaurants and discovering old but historic places. I LOVE cars and all things cars. I enjoy history, especially American history. I do have a crazy amount of general knowledge and can be quite geeky. I am the friend on a road trip that will know the lyrics to just about any song on the playlist. I am a young, fun & ambitious, sometimes to the point where I hardly sleep and would work 24/7 if I could, but I am someone who will without a doubt make you feel relaxed and spontaneous in front of my camera. Through this I bring out the beauty and authenticity in every couple I get to photograph. I absolutely adore capturing moments that you will cherish for a lifetime.
